I know it is E body but thought someone here might be able to offer an opinion.
I have been on the lookout for a set of leaf springs, rear brake assemblies and housing ends so that I can cut down and mount my truck Dana 60 in my 50 Dodge gasser. This week a complete E body 8 3/4 came up for sale, so I bought it for $300 Canadian. It is complete from leafs to an open 489 center section with 2 something gears in it.
My intent is to harvester the springs, housing ends,brake assemblies and u bolt / shock mount plates and sell the center chunk / axles if possible.
Is this thing worth more complete? Should I try and sell it whole and just buy the individual parts that I need? Is an E body housing rare and sought after?
Any thoughts and opinions are welcome.
