Freds 73 Scamp restore on a budget

Guys post video's and cars running, burnouts etc and I never figured how to send 1. I can record em tho. My car is so loud it sounds like static on the video's but it is obnoxious to stand next to it or in it running. I did the x pipe with 1' thrush glasspacs 2-1/2 out the back. Thought about changing that out right away but its kind of fun to blast the crap out of anything I pass on the street. Somehow they seem to do something on u tube then post it i believe. If you figure it out, let us old farts know so we can do it too. Haha...

You tube is one way. You need some type of host otherwise this site could not support all of that storage. I use One drive. It's part of google. Should be on your smartphone. Got a a Google icon on your phone? Iphones are different. Not sure what you have.

Find that google icon on your phone for starters. I'm the last guy to try and teach this ****. I gotta relearn every time I try to use it myself.

What are you running for an engine? post some pictures here if you can. I like pictures.

Dyno we broke it in and it was 363 with 378 torque at 6k rpm. He said his dyno was on the light side and I thought it would be more. It isnt bad with almost a hundred more with some mild head work and cam. It has been blasting the paint off the blocks where I store it tho. Lol. It smokes the 295s like nothing so im gonna get some m/t drag radials before hitting the track. If it even opens back up this year. I hope to see mid 12s but cant even get to try. If not im jamming this in. Haha!

I cut my own
Not being able to go to the barber now looks like I'm gonna have long hair. lol

I cut my own day before yesterday , did a pretty good job too , had trouble with my arms/elbows bending back to get the back, kept messing w/ it and looking in 3 way mirrors , saved $12 . I doubt their open around here either.

Exhaust is done and far enough from the Gear Vendor I don't think I need a heat shield but might do it anyway.

Just finished painting the front bumper to grill panel and the deck lid so watching paint dry so tomorrow I can sand and buff it. Hood is the only thing I need to paint body color and gonna start on interior next.
I can drive my car now but would have to sit on a 5 gallon bucket and hope the hell I don't fall off. lol

When I paint, it's usually outside on a nice spring day before the pollen starts kicking in. Or a small window in the fall is best around here. Summertime is usually high humidity and to say you restored your whole car by yourself means just that. I'm loving your build! Quality, design, paint, are all top notch! My ole 69 dart made me hesitate toward the rear tire clearance issue and leaned toward the duster - demom. I had the 75th 1975 dart sport. Hang 10, 318-4sp with a sunroof. Gave her some juice and sold it to a friend who wrapped it around a bridge but was a cool a body. The 73' scamp has taken me to a whole other level tho and I am appreciating them WAY more while watching your build progress. That's called treating a car to treats! Its only money! Ha.ha.

The shop I'm painting in is real old not much light in the paint booth and have to take a big *** light in there to see how the paint is laying down but I tell ya it's better than doing it out side. You are talented if you can paint outside Iv'e done a lot of painting out side and around here not a big problem with pollen but bugs are real bad in the summer.
I wanted a 68 dart like I had as a kid but soon found out that it was cheaper to go with the Scamp that was in real good shape and not much rust. Never gonna sell it I'll have close to 40 grand in it when all done and doing the work myself. Not a cheep hobby but WTF I sure enjoy it.
