Stop in for a cup of coffee

Wow, 2 days off. What shall I do?...
Guess i will put some pressure on my water tank and see if I can get the capacity back as Tike suggested. Also want to check my water level in the well with pump running. I did find my measurments I took in 2008 when I changed the foot valve. Well is 55ft deep Foot valve 43ft down with static water depth of 35ft. But I never checked the level with the pump running. Thats what you are supposed to use for sizing pump. I'm sure the 1/2hp is fine. Been that way for 30some years. But considering going to 3/4 if I change the whole thing.
I also have the grommets for the Duster shift linkage. Ionly got 2 of one part #. They give 2 diff #s in parts book, confusing what is correct or even how they are different.
One bit done. Got down in the pit and opened well cap and checked water depth. Approx 8.5 ft. I had 8 written down. Ran water to keep pump running. Could see level drop pretty quick. Was about 12ft after a minute or so. Only dropped a little more after that. 5min in it was holding at 12'8" from cap. So that is my active pump depth. Pump in house might be 3ft higher. So calling it 16ft. That's within reach as a shallow jet pump and I run a 1/2hp convertible with ejector in the well. Just need to decide if a higher HP would be better. @dartnabout - no I didn't pump the tank full of air yet.
