1963 Dodge Dart 270 Convertible for the Wife
So I sucked it up and fixed the 2 spots that I forgot to fix.... Kaelyn took me to town in the Duster, that I extracted from the garage and washed this morning, to get supplies.
Wet sand with 500 grit and a block to see the low spot then put tape around it to keep the damage to a minimum... apply glaze then sand with 320 till almost there then remove the tape and sand with 500 on a block till perfect. I was about to mix up some reduced epoxy but noticed I still had a splash left over from Friday morning! Perfect. Rolled the tape over on itself so the edge would be soft when I sprayed and pushed it outside before the storm rolled in. Ended up wet sanding the whole car to get anything out and a perfect surface for tomorrows money coats. Wet sanded in the epoxy as well. I could not get a few coat of base on today, which I was hoping for, so the first hour tomorrow will be getting these areas to the same coverage as the rest of the car. Also bought some SEM undercoating for the trunk. This will be painted over eventually.
