Thanks man, I think I might try the wrinkle paint suggestion. Saw it out in the sun for the first time yesterday and didn't dig the brushed finish too much :)
Thats exactly what I was thinking. I like your style and seriously, every aspect you have going on with your ride, and that tube was out of place.
I did use the wrinkle finish on a Honda valve cover once. I stripped the original paint with aircraft remover stuff. I did not use primer because I was told by an old timer that the reason spray bomb engine paint doesnt work is because it's too thick. True or untrue, it was a honda so why not see what happens. It lasted a good 5 years before it started flaking. Primer and a top coat may remedy that on a lower temp application. Worst case for you is sand blasting and coming up with another idea. Powdercoat?
