First thing I do on my old trucks is drill a small hole in the rockers so the water can get out quickly. Drilling a small hole in the low spot is not going to hurt anything. It's just going to not let the water pool up in the first place...

Yes I will do that. Iv always wondered why they didnt do that from the factory in the cab corners rockers doors bottom of the fenders etc. Seems like those low spots are the first to go. I did that in that Chevy I'm working on I drilled a small hole in the back corners and sprayed it full of wd 40 hopefully it will last for him.
