Thanks, in the end there just was not any way to gracefully modify the existing tunnel to fit the T-60. The thing is huge. While I was super hesitant to cut the whole tunnel out and related firewall juncture in the end it was the right move for me. I would not suggest it for the faint hearted tho! It really made it all look cleaner and less farmeneered!
