im actually curious to see if the theory holds true about eclipses and earthquakes. USGS has found evidence that within 6 to 12 months of an eclipse, somewhere along the path of totality, a major earthquake of 6.5 or higher hits. It holding true going back to the early 1900s so far. The scary part is, the next total solar eclipse in 2024, goes right over the New Madrid fault line. Which is several decades past a predicted large earthquake. it will be interesting to see if that trend holds true and if that just happens to be the trigger for the New Madrid to finally erupt violently
