Today, I'll be finishing up the brake lines, and installing the new master cylinder and distribution block.

I've never bench-bled a master cylinder before. Is it pretty straightforward?

Have been wondering what is going on with "Righty Tighty" ?
I see you are doing brakes now...

You have a Drum/Drum car there, looks like you have a Disc/Drum master cylinder there with the larger reservoir for discs.

Check out this A Body Drum/Drum 15/16" bore manual master cylinder on ebay.
eBay item number: 262971884427

Have used these Raybestos MC36338 drum/drum masters for manual brakes before. Nice improvement for drum/drum manual brake cars.
They give good pedal feel and stroke.
Rule of thumb: the bigger the master cylinder bore the harder the pedal pushes and the shorter the stroke is.

You want the master cylinder reservoirs to be the same size on the drum/drum cars.

And yes you want to bench bleed the master before installing on the car. Check out some YouTube videos on how to do it.
