Manifold doesn't line up

Starrett (USA) Brown and Sharpe (Sweden) and Mitutoyo (Japan and Aurora, Illinois) in that order. Nothing wrong with Mit. precision measuring instruments. I personally like B&S myself.

IIRC... Last time I looked, Starrett's least expensive caliper was made in China. Mitutoyo's is made in Brazil so I went with Mitutoyo.
