I bet the 4x4 and California emissions is a tricky combination for cam choice.

You can't have a bunch of hydro carbons blowing out the pipe from too much overlap.
It's a balance. If you go look at a carb approved power max crane hydraulic roller specs for an 86 or later, for instance. Just compare the specs to let's say.. the cam I'm considering running on this engine, it's literally a trade-off here and there. The Power Max will lift it in the .460's but the @.050 duration is 198 and 200 iirr and on a 113 or more. I believe I can still access a good 90% of the peak head flow with the cam I'm considering. I have to catch myself from pushing too hard and stay on course.
