Stock 318 building with Justin
Fraught with peril, indeed. This is an attempt at building in some EGR so no guarantees, and any input welcome. I’m thinking of a custom duplication of the 360 single pattern cam but grind in .430-.440 lift intake and .410-.420 exhaust. Have as much duration as is practical ground in under the curve to maximize torque without any valve train noise.
It’s probably going to need somewhere in the 114-116 LSA and work the exhaust port flow within 75-80% of intake flow. Although it’s probably not an option, I’m thinking the best (easiest to tune in lean) intake here is an EGR equipped Edelbrock StreetMaster. The factory single plane’67-72 two barrel iron single plane fitted with a plate EGR system might work even better.
