Stop in for a cup of coffee

I think they dig up the gloomiest stories to put on the news. I had 2 friends one a Paramedic and the other an RN. Both went to NY to volunteer their time. Came home to say how over inflated the numbers were. And Hospitals around here and Pittsburgh suffering because not enough patients to keep them going. My county jumped up to 57 now but what they don't say is that it is all inside the one prison. A friend is home because he has it. Said for him it is no different than the flu. It's a bad one don't take me wrong. But I would sooner die from a virus than starve to death. Watch the prices of food this summer.
Our hospitals have laid off staff. The emergency and ICU is busy but there is only room for so many patients and staff in each hospital. They are taking care of the sick but there are no operations unless emergency surgeries. So much now days is elective or scheduled. (like my heart surgery was) Meanwhile the staff sits at home and collects unemployment while the patients continue to have issues. I couldn't imagine waiting 6 months to have back surgery because pinched nerves aren't considered emergencies.
