So had to pull my new motor, because the oil pan sprung a leak on the side were I did some welding on it, after starting it for the first time. I replace the oil pan with new one and took out the right angle oil filter adapter and repaced with a straight one because it didn't work well. So I put the motor back in and started it up and now it's leaking around the oil filter, not to mention the the transmission line is now leaking (l must have punctured it on the install), and to add insult to injury the thermostat housing is leaking (why not have all the fluids leak!). So time you have to say WTF!!!!!:BangHead:

Time for some perspective. Step back for a while. Let it go and get to it again tomorrow. Works for me most of the time. You're gonna win.
I know I know, but some days I think I should have stayed in bed:lol:

When i sit and drink a few beers the next day is always worse! Im a cheap date but a dick the next day. I used to ba able to pound pitchers of mixed drinks at the clubs in Philippines but i would die if i tried that today.
Crawled under my car yesterday looking for a wrench and i noticed the trans cooler line completely broken off at the fitting. Yeah, WTF?

Sometimes just gotta lay the tools down and turn out the lights. Used to fight it. As I’ve gotten older learned fighting it usually cost me more money.

And frustration. A cooler perspective can make the job just fall into place.

I see you live in Tustin. I lived in Tustin Meadows from 68 to 72. Right off of Redhill av. I noticed you said "clubs" in the Philippines. Was that by any chance Olongapo? I spent many an hour at clubs in Olongapo whenever my ship would make a stop. 64 to 66 Tin Can sailor. How abt you?

Yeah, X2 on this. When I'm working on something and it all goes to ****, I quit and come back the next day. Almost always, it's a better scenario and I can move forward from yesterday's roadblock.

I hear yah. I have to pull a transmission for the third time because I am a space cadet. Grumble grumble.

I just try and remind myself that I do this 'old car' thing because I like it. It would be way easier to kick them all to the curb and just buy new cars but that's not me. I like this old stuff and sometimes there are setbacks but that's part of what I like too, (even if I'm bitching at the time). When you finish the job successfully you'll stand back and be proud you did it right. And then promptly move on to the next thing because it never ends...

Thanks all, I'm off the edge of the cliff and I feel much better now:thumbsup:. Put some Right Stuff sealent on the filter adapter gasket, and now I'm waiting on the new transmission lines to come in (should be here today), and I'll try this again!
