I guess I never realized they used 66 barracudas

1966....didn’t last long, he crashed it at an airstrip, he flipped upside down, then turned backwards and slid into a pole, the collision caused the engine to be slammed into him. Couple weeks later he tore the car apart and had 2 piles of parts from the car....good parts and bad parts....he was gonna fix it. He said he had this young kid working for him in the shop and told him to take the bad parts in for scrap. Bob came back later only to find he hauled all the parts away...that was the end of the 1966 car. The newer pictures are of the one he built in the early 90’s...notice the one picture doesn’t have “Hurst” in the H....it wasn’t till years later they (Hurst) allowed him to put it back on. Bob was so nice to me when I met him...hung out all day at the track with him when I was 15 and heard all kids of stories!
