what carb? square base or spreadbore? the sp2p was an idea that was not very good. maybe Edelb performer - flows 270 - same as a stock 340 intake. edelb ld340 is very good flowing 290. weiand action plus 8007 flows 260
IMO, the LD-340 will not be good for this 318 & there way over priced. WAY OVER PRICED! @BLIMP I do like the OE intake route or the LD4B.
The SP2P was brought out during the gas crunches and proved itself good for mileage gains. Available in a 2 or 4 barrel version. It did this with long narrow runners that made 90* turns. I do not think it will provide any meaningful power gains. Mileage yes, power, ehhh, not so much.
