What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

This is roundabout, but directly related to the 69 Dart!! Getting ready to build this n/a V6 for the red 92 Stealth. Soon as its done and back in the car, ill drive it to my friends house, hand him the keys, and then jump into the Dart and bring it home!! Trade complete!!

Never did the job but a great mechanic I know did a engine R&R on one of these that had twin turbos. Let's just say he didn't have much good to say lol.... Great car though....

These cars are quite complex, especially the electricals/electronics. But with some solid skills and a factory manual...not too bad!!! I have a turbo and 2 non-turbos right now... I kinda like em LOL. Theyve been a great lobuck hotrod until i could afford to get back into the 60s Mopars again!! And have to say...that TT with AWD... When you launch, it feels like my 68 Dart with the 440 I had a decade ago!!! The Stealth is nearly 2 seconds slower in the quarter... But that launch...!!!!!

After months of being up on stands and welding and grinding and sanding, finally got er on the tires and pushed it out the door. The top body line didn’t turn out as good as I would have liked but it’s ok for now. Still have to put the seats back in and install the new single exhaust. Little things and then fire it up.

Still working on my semi-custom air cleaner.

And ordered a new steering wheel to replace the worn out original. I think it will go pretty nice with my interior. What do you think ?
First pic will give you an idea what my interior looks like. Second pic is the new wheel.

There ya go... showing off Chelsea again, lol.

As far as the wheel, I was a little concerned studying the first picture for a long time :D, and seeing your beautiful blue interior that you might have a black wheel going in.

Then I scrolled to the second picture and yes!!!! I think it will look great.

You're getting the better end of that deal!
Maybe... Its a Dart Custom with a tired 6/auto, ratty interior, and needs left front floor and rear window corners. And paint. And a smallblock... And BBP everything...
But its F6!!! :)

thunk I`ll start it up and see just how much vacuum I am getting on the pan evac system I rigged up last friday , ''drivers side only'' , interesting to see if it works w/ my home made exhaust system ----I have had trouble beleiveing they would have enough vacuum to overcome the check valve . I have messed w/ 3 diff check valves (or whatever thier called) , and this one seems to be easier to open than the other two.---------------more to come

I bought another car, a Canadian Monaco 383 with a 4 speed. Never thought I'd get a '66 Polara/Monaco with a stick. Car is in Canada, and I have to figure out how I'm getting it across the border. A problem I don't mind having.

Follow up , the evac line seemed to pulse , blowing a little untill I put the valve on it up top , ''SUCKED QUITE NOTICEABLY THEN -WEIRD! ''
Reved the engine up to about 4200 a few times , w/ valve and w/o valve installed on valve cover, it lowered my vacuum gauge about 1 1/2'' installed , , took it off and sealed the cover w/ a twist on cap , vacuum gauge went back to 5"- ---took the line and valve off the car , and capped the exhaust nipple . Guess my home made mufflers have a hair too much back pressure to run the evac system ---??????????? comments ?

My ex brother in law bought a new 68 sport fury in 68 , had every option chrysler made , including a remote left side mirror !
Was a 383 4 speed/bucket seat car , and ran quite well , way faster than you`d think , was pretty darn fast for the time in that size car !
Only remote left mirror I ever heard or seen too !

since im redoing the fuel system, hopefully on friday, my automotive goals for this week are burning through a half a tank of gas

Scrapper coming to pick up the rusted out 66 barracuda shell on Monday. Anybody with a need for an odd bit of upper body steel or ...? everything that can be unbolted is already off and a few things cut out for future projects. Mandatory time off from work has been at least beneficial to my striping career.

Oh man, nice inner fenderwells! Lee Robinson could probably squeeze a few more $$ out of that. Mine was less exciting...sway bar endlinks for the 2012 Dodge Caravan. 3.6 VVT...hey, 285HP/260 ft/lbs aint nothing to sneeze at unless its in a 2.5 ton mommyvan....Oh..and no F'n dipstick for the trans? WTF? (TIP: use oil dipstick and fill to 40-50mm hot). Had to add 1/2 quart as it stuttered in hard left turns.
