72 valiant six pack scoop?

Planning to add a six pack scoop on my 72 plymouth valiant. Unsure of how ill be fitting it around the raised portion of the hood as im fairly sure most scoops are flat. Possibly building it up around the flange? I'm planning to order the PR-53 bolt on scoop Fiberglass Hood Scoops

How is this typically done?

Notch the bottom side? How are you going to bond it to the hood?

i take it the scoop is fiberglass?

just sand it down in the high spots of the hood
