I have been out of the RC hobby for years. Recently restored my old 1981 Tamiya Rough Rider buggy from a beat to hell frame with suspension back into a restored model. Upgraded the electronics, and used a bunch of NOS parts to put it back to OEM status.

Anyhoo, I am looking at aTraxxas TRX4 rock crawler with geared hubs, servo controlled locking diffs, comes with either a 75 Chevy K5 Blazer body, 79 Ford Bronco body, or Land Rover defender body, with stock looking Chevrolet wheel rims for the Blazer or Ford rims for the Bronco. Looks like the aftermarket has kept pace with it offering a lot of upgraded parts including steel ring and pinion sets in various ratios. I will likely keep it stock and fun around with it. Maybe add a push bar and the Traxxas exterior lighting kit. I like the orange Blazer bodied truck.

Dont want to get into racing RCs since that beats em to death, and I dont have the funds for that kind of endeavor. Anybody have one of these TRX4 chassis? How do you like it? I am interested in the RTR model because the transmitter is already set up as a 4 channel, and the speed control is set up with hill assist and downhill engine braking. Heres pix.

Thanks
Matt

That's really nice. I figure this truck is 1/10th scale , so I can eventually rebody it however I like including the old power wagon pickup shell. Since the model comes with either blazer, bronco, or land rover body. I figured I would pick the one that I like the best out of all 3.

Good fun! Mounted on a Redcat chassis. Have a few friends who have the Traxxas and they are pretty awesome.
