Found an image close to my Dad’s ‘66 Impala wagon. It was this color tan with a gold interior...but with stock wheels and covers...327 V8 with a Posi rear and AC.
That car was used for the first round of unleaded fuel testing at Sunoco back when he worked for them. Besides free fuel for a year, he got a free engine tear down and rebuild as a part of participating. It was a contirubutor to the data that showed that without lead, valves burned so hardened seats were needed in the next gen engines.
