SCUMBAG ALERT! TURBOVAN Phoenix.
I think the screenshots speak for themselves, that said if it were me and I wasn’t please with an item I thought was misrepresented(whether it was or not), if the offer of a full refund was on the table, I’d returned the whole lot, even the heads and gone elsewhere.
but I also have to question why the rockers and shafts etc weren’t inspected on site when you picked them up? It’d be a bit different if it was a shipped item but this sounds like a face to face transaction. I almost bought a set of 440 roller rockers and shafts at the Indy Swap meet back in March but noticed one of them, the needle bearings looked to have a couple missing, so I passed on the entire lot.
moral of the story, if it’s a FtF deal, and the buyer fails to fully inspect the item at time of purchase, as long as the seller didn’t try to hide obvious flaws or damage, it’s on the buyer.
but in this case, I think it could have been handled a bit better from both ends. Don’t include parts not readily available in a deal until those parts are in fact available to go with the rest of the parts and if you’re gonna take up a return/refund offer, return it all.
