Valve cover breather

So since I’m redoing the intake and carb on my 71 318 I have decided to try to swap out the breather with the hoses on my passenger side valve cover. It has one line that went to the old carb that is no longer needed on the new carb. One line that went to the air filter that I was told would be fine to delete as long as I still put an breather on the valve cover. Lastly it has a line that runs back to my fuel tank. If I have a vented fuel cap could I cap that line at the fuel tank and not need to hook that line back up? If I need to I need to and will just trying to see what I can get rid of.

I'VE ARGUED ABOUT THIS MANY TIMES PLEASE DO NOT RUN A VENTED CAP unless you "like" gas running down your fender. The 1/4 line in the newer cars with evap controls IS THE VENT. Either run the line up front "up high" so it won't siphon, and maybe plumb it into the air filter bonnet, or modify your filler tube to mimick the 69/ earlier vent which is easy, simple, AND DOES NOT leak **** all over the paint

I hope @67Dart273 doesn't mind my quoting him here, but it bears repeating.
