Pipe dope or Teflon tape on fuel fittings?
I had an Earl's pipe thread connection that I could not get to stop leaking. It was on my EFI lines at the gauge fitting. I tried to use Aviation sealant like on my other fittings but it would not seal. I inspected the threads both sides and saw nothing out of the ordinary. I ended up trying "Permatex PermaShield Fuel Resistant Gasket Dressing and Flange Sealant". It worked the first time without any issues. I had no recommendations to do this and I did it out of desperation. Has anyone else tried it for that purpose. It is sold on Tanks.com for sealing the gaskets on the pump and sender to the tank.
