Carolina machine engines

I bought a Blueprint engines 408 fully dressed motor back in 2008-2009. It came with different components than what currently comes on the “dressed” 408. Not a bad thing, just not a apples to apples thing. I have been very happy with my motor. I definitely ran it for over 60,000 street miles and well over 1000 passes, before I pulled it apart to bump compression with a piston change. It came with a scat cast crank and scat h beams rods. At tear down the bores were straight and round. The crank was straight still. I abused and ran this motor hard and am still running the block and rotating assembly. None of the issues I found during tear down were the result of the original build quality or component selection.
