First of all he's my Godson. Secondly if you're against gays etc then isn't that being racist as well? Not saying that you are of course. I don't read the bible but doesn't God love all the children? What is the N&P? I'm comfortable discussing it here actually, I'm pretty thick skinned and I can take criticism if you can. I'm as straight as it comes and I believe everyone to his own because it's their choice.
Don't forget there are predators even in the church but they try to cover it up.
lets deal with the racism first
one can not help what race one is born, and there for racism is wrong
(ill even go as far as to say there is only one race, the human race, and all others are varieties as such)
homosexuality is a perversion, it is the result of a choice, or several choices over time
now, let me make this clear, i have nothing against you're godson, but i think his choices are immoral and detrimental to not only his health, but our entire society

but love and license are not the same. you love you're kids, did you ever spank them for making the wrong choice?
did you ever tell them no to something that they thought was a good idea but you knew was dangerous?

lastly you brought up predators in Church
i submit to you that a pedosexual is in his perversion closer related to a homosexual then a heterosexual because they are both perversions
and that is one of the dangers in reclassifying homosexuality as something acceptable
because it is only a step down a slippery slope and if you remove the parameters God placed on sexual relationships (one man, one woman, in marriage, for life) then you loose the ability to differentiate between normal and perverted
(dont think im crazy, a few years ago, after legalizing sodomy in the Netherlands, a political group arose who wanted to legalize pedosexual relationships)
now, i think you can trace back the predators in the Church to a problem in the catholic church where they refused to let the leaders get married, even though the Bible is clear men should be married because otherwise, they are very likely to end up in sexual sin
