^^^^^ what @CudaCraig said. It's a Choke Thermostat. Plenty of them on feeBay ( slant 6 choke thermostat in Chokes | eBay ) or typically available from the parts dealer of your choice.

EDIT- unless you mean the little notched arm - that is the carburetor return spring bracket.
