Stop in for a cup of coffee
Back when I had my Upholstery business, I once sliced open the toe of my work boots on a piece of sharp cut metal. Barely missed my toes. I grabbed my upholstery tool box and ran some quick Frankenstein stitches through the cut boot using big curved leather needles and heavy waxed thread. Then I slathered on some silicone sealant.
I wore those boots for the next 3 years before I wore out the soles...but the stitches never failed.
