Yeah it seems pretty unlikely to me that a bunch of random looters broke in, then went and found the keys to all of those cars and then distributed them among themselves. That sounds like organization to me.
Seems a lot more likely that a group of people, with at least one or more people having knowledge of that dealership, went there specifically to steal those cars.
Heck if you’re one for conspiracy theories, how do you think those $100k cars are selling right now? Bet that dealer has insurance on all of those stolen cars. I’m not saying that’s what happened by any means, but it also wouldn’t surprise me at all if there aren’t a few “insurance jobs” that have happened in all of this. Clearly that’s not the majority or even a minority of these incidents, but things get complicated fast when you start talking about individual cases.
