I'm not sure what that is there for.
I just looked at mine and it is there, but there is no plug in it. Mine looks just like the website picture you posted.
By the way, I had steer and gear rebuild my gear box with the "Sport" feel. I installed it maybe a month ago but didn't pay attention to that hole. I love the"stiffer" feel.
