different valve spring options

I’m confused. Why does he need a 1.8 installed height with less than .500 lift. 100 pounds on the seat is plenty for that cam. He has enough spring choices for that cam that fighting to get even a 1.75 installed height ain’t worth it.

Plus, running that far from coil bind isn’t good.
I stated the reasons.
More choices.
Broader price range.
Yes... running within upwards of .050 till coil bind is harmonically preferable, in racing even more important when limits are touched.
I look at rate and seat psi then open, after getting a rec from the grinder. I think some room to grow isn't a bad thing.
The cranes someone else mentioned ,if I'm thinking of the same ones r a little stiff like 425 rate iirr. Probably a diff spring he's talking about.
I get a good price on reboxed springs, comp stuff but in a diff box.. or is it brand x in a comp box... hmm
Either way, there is no problem with running a 1.80 spring height if you can. It's not gonna hurt anything. Most heads come 1.80 spring height these days or better..and run under the max lift of their springs. What's odd is you're bringing that up without a particular spring in question.. how do you know he would be running however from coil bind in the 1st place? What spring are you talking about and how/why are you directing that at me...?
