Bought this junker 69 Dart hulk for roof repair of the 74 Scamp. "I think" I found a guy to do this. So the plan is/ was to pull the junk engine/ k member, fenders, doors, clean it out, remove the windshield (junk) and the rear glass, and put it on this boat trailer.........which was a freebee off the last boat that "gave" me a 57 Evinrude 35hp

ANYWAY I lowered it down on the trailer and it was sitting on the front radiator support. I decided that was "too weak" (for the car) so threw a big 'ol timber under there further back.........and.............

You gotta be happy that it happened before the road trip.

Actually I was (will not) tow it with this. Was goin' to load the car and boat trailer together on the flatbed and take it to "the guy." He'd be able to move it around LOL

I really like the Dart boat idea. You could do like a one off 340 Dart boat "tribute"......LOL

My neighbor has a boat trailer that he did the same thing with ( just not with a car) he ended up replacing the bent tube, unfortunately they bought the tube before I could chime in and suggest they get rectangular tubing, or heavier walled tubing. But it is all back together and working fine

I may not fix this, we'll see. I have a small flatbed made out of a pop-up camp trailer, but it is a bit too small and too light, sometimes. This thing is tilt bed, but too large. (long) I was thinking of shortening it and decking it and turning it into the "new" flatbed. If I'm lucky, LOL, might be able to shorten the tongue to the bend

For this project, I'll likely just hi-jack it halfway straight and lash a timber or two along it to get the job done.
