They work but if you want to make 350-400 horse you will have to machine them for 340/360 valves, should have hardened seats, and at least port match and bowl blend. You could easily have $$ wrapped up to make them work unless you can do all the work yourself. Reasonably priced aluminum heads now days are really a bargain.
