408 Cam on the way

I am contemplating building a 416 stroker with my 340, but I also like the shorter stock stroke. What made you decide on the stroker? I am thinking running a thumpr cam in the 340 (even know some do like them), it seems to be ideal for a 10.5 CR. Like I said, I am at a crossroads and what helped your decision on going stroker?
