depends if you are only going for the sound
gas mileage sucks big time opening the exhaust that early

I don't want to steal a thread, but I am running an auto A518 46RH OD, with 2400-2600 stall converter with 3.73 gears. I have a .508 purpleshaft that was in it when I bought the 340, but it was too big for my combo. I wanted a big cam sound, but did not have any other use for a big cam.
