Performance world rockers

-
I think I remember seeing a pic of the underside of one of the "speedmaster" versions. It had PRW embossed on it, just like on mine I got from PRW. I bet the PWR do too. Now maybe the castings are all the same and the screws and rollers are done by each house. That could make a difference. But I'd bet dollars to donuts they are all the same. Mine seem pretty good and have been given good reviews by a couple people whose opinion I trust. But everyone needs to do what feels right to them.

That was my picture, 100% the same parts as PRW. I suppose they could have different adjuster and roller tip hardware. But I think it's much more likely everyone sells the same parts.

Mike at b3 likes the prw ones, and supplies them with his kits when you get a correction kit & rocker package. That's good enough for me.

yes b3 sold me a set of prw performance quotient rocker arms. Have’s installed them yet still in the box. If anyone wants any details pics etc let me know.

Did urs need much correcting? Kim

I thought it was a lot, but it think @yellow rose mentioned that it was a mild correction when he saw the kit Mike sent me. I have pics in some thread here, if you can't find them I can post them up again later.

So u got rockers and his kit. How did he know how much to correct them and which way? Thanks. Kim
He'll send you an instruction sheet and pics of how to measure four or five points and send the info to him. Only tricky one is top of shaft to the tip of the valve. What he's doing isn't rocket science, and he'll admit that. It is a fairly straight forward math problem using widely available formula and equations. But he is doing the calculations for you, accurately, and providing offset shims and I think he tells you how much you need to open the holes in the shafts if needed. I was going to borrow my daughter's geometry book and see what I could come up with but got a headache just thinking about running through those equations again. I'll let Mike do that and buy his kit.

Agreed. Honestly, even if you did the math, and then drew up the parts yourself, you'd probably spend what Mike charges, or more, to have a job shop whip you out a set of the shims. It's not cheap, but it is a bargain.

Exactly. Plus the way I see is if anyone takes the time to learn and perfect the small block Mopar then it's worth the cost. Mike has given a lot and I will always support that

I have the equipment and the skill (theoretically) to make them, and I still don't want any part of it. I am pretty big on doing stuff myself but I'm not retired yet and certain things are better paid for than me hacking away at them. I always gave my Dad grief for hiring stuff done that we used to do ourselves after I left home, but now I understand.

I looked into the Comp Ultra Pro Magnums. Seems they come with spacers but no shims or hold down hardware. Where would u get the hardware kit? They are pricey. $1055.00 plus taxes. Then pushrods etc. Kim
Kim. Look at the Mancini kits made by Harland sharp. I think they include pushrods and are 600 usd as memory serves. I contacted them and shipping to Calgary was $35 via fed-ex so there won’t be any funny brokerage like ups charges etc.... Should put you in at under 900 cdn including pushrods.
Mancini Racing - Roller Rocker Arm & Pushrod Pkg

I should have asked but are you doing big or small block here?

you buy any roller tip rocker you need to do as b3 does
longer valves or a lot of lift or high ratio you need it more
factore in all the costs before spending on roller tip rockers

For your reference ...here is a PRW and Speedmaster stainless steel rocker...the PRW is on top....

Yes, that’s the 1s. They didn’t have them in stock. I wanted to look them over. Kim

As long as they're not the dreadful "self guiding" ones that extend down past the roller and un-key the valves (C.A.T. brand?) and/or have the (no kidding) 10-point "spline" locknuts. I almost bought a set of the crazy locknut ones at the Big Daddy Don Garlits Mopar show and swap meet back around 2000. Had my billfold out and literally saw the bogus China fasteners and slammed them back down. LOL
