I'm looking for any photos on changes people have done to their A-body firewalls to install a Gen 3 6.4 Hemi. I'm installing a new crate motor in my 68 Barracuda and I have an idea on the modifications needed but would like to see what others have done. Thanks again for any Help.

I put a t56 magnum behind my big block. The firewall needed no modification but I did have to rebuild the transmission tunnel from the firewall seam back to the end of the trans.

I know it looks bad, but it was free and it works!

Thanks Craig, but I'm looking for the front firewall changes for the 6.4 engine fits, wiring harness, wiper hole mods. My Floor has already been modified as I'm installing the same Tremec Trans. Thanks!

Its a B-body but basically it is up to you what you want to modify - you can utilize all the factory firewall connections then just add a grommet for the Hemi harness -- or you can do what I did - smooth the A/C section, ran the A/C lines under the fender and a wiring harness to the headlights and fans. I decided to keep the wiper motor and what not - I since made a blockoff plate for the factory bulkhead connector (should have filled it in hindsight) and went with mil=spec MS3476 connectors for the Hemi wiring

I modified mine for the short run valve on back of the intake.I moved the wiper motor to the inside and used a neon motor.I made a recessed panel and welded it in.Others look a lot better but I didn’t want to butcher the firewall more than i had to.Modernmuscleextreme.com sells a block off plate to do away with the short run valve. If you used the block off you may not have to modify it at all.My harness comes out to the behind the intake to the passenger side. You can see it in the picture.Hope this helps

70 duster with 6.4..... i got stock wiper motor to work, and computer is under dash, in front of stereo, so i still have my heater box and glove box.... intake motor is close to wiper motor, but they get along great!

I also made a bunch of youtube videos on my swap.... here is the first one, there are a bunch i made

Thanks everyone for your photos!! Thanks Curt for showing your Mods because the 6.4 Manifold is higher making the wipers a problem and You keeping it and showing me your modifications to do so is awesome. Also even though I'm using an updated wire harness, I wanted to know If I could still use the the bulkhead hole for the connection. Thanks, Mike.

This is how i got my big computer side plug of harness into the car.... i cut a big enough hole so plugs can all pass threw, then made a plate that covers big hole, but splits in half... then in that split plate, i drilled a 2" hole for rubber grommet and harness to pass threw.... it came out real clean.... hope this helps....
