1968 Barracuda Notch - Plano, TX
So, I had an idea for my passenger side bracket, but it made the AC fittings hard to access and did not leave much room between the AC compressor ears and the alternator. But then I found out I can rotate the compressor up to 90 degrees and suddenly it all fell together. First picture is the concept / idea.
Second shows the PS pump, idler #1 and the tensioner.
Third picture idler #1 has been borrowed and moved to idler #2 spot (idler #2 on order) and shows compressor and alternator mounting.
Fourth picture shows the AC compressor, the ears are about an inch above the frame rail. The AC hoses will not be in your line of sight when you open the hood. The discharge hose will run straight forward and go up to the existing hole in the radiator support. The suction hose will go forward, then down to connect to the hard line coming from below the front frame horn.
The only question left in my mind is if I take the belt over the water pump or add two more idlers and run it under.
