A little nervous!

First day is over. I got 3 passes in during Test and Tune last night. Mission 1 accomplished, no crashes and no parts left at the track. I was underwhelmed by the performance of me and the car. Since I have not done this before, I expected a learning curve. First run 13.8 at 98 mph with .343 RT. My best was as below, car #634. I did not shift the 727, just let it do the shifting. I only revved a bit at the start and no burnouts to heat up the tires. I have never done that before and did not want to do that on my first try at drags. It hooked up well though and did not spin the tires at the start. I was satisfied with my RT for a rookie until pass 3, Red Light at -.088.
The motor was smooth it tracked well going down the track. I did not do a data log for the EFI, Wish I did. Today I will inspect everything and go from there. I have a dyno tune of the car coming up in August.

Interesting: I took mine out to the track 2 yrs ago, about the same new build , hughs engines 505 stroker kit. 727 , 3:73 dana 60/detroit locker , had 295 65 15 drag radials on it then.
Hadnt been on the track in over 10 yrs , it showed . First thing was getting used to the manual full discs, wouldnt hold like the old drum brakes on the hemi back in the day.
.136 reaction time . car had no front end lift at all, have changed front coil over springs twice since then. A little looser now, changed to 295 60 d15 treaded slicks , but haven`t run them yet .
A little more tuning on the fast 2.0 EFI , found something in the tune I left completly out.
Second run , .036 reaction time , still didnt have the stall down w/ the disc brakes , but better , dont think it hooked up till second gear (slipping, not up in smoke tho).
Both runs 11:90`s , highly disappointing !! . Should do way better , rings have seated since then too-----????????
