So as I mentioned a few days ago, we have purchased some acreage and are going to build our “last” house on it. Full disclosure we have built a house before. Here is some deja vu, male/female communication skills.
Me: Have you got the bidding going on the house?
Her: yes I do.
Translated: we do not have house plans Selected or purchased, hence we have no plans, as a result the contractor is not in possession of said plans, a key factor in the bidding process. As an aside, contractor has not been selected nor has any contractor been contacted.
A true WTF moment for me, then a flood of memories came rushing back to me from the last house we built. I distinctly remember now why I backed out and simply provided brute force as required. I do however get full control on shop detail! Clearly a great trade!
