Mopar Muscle is no more

-
Lately Mopar Muscle seemed like it was being run by Chevy enthusiasts, they seldom seemed to have their facts straight about the cars and overlooked the obvious (to mopar owners ) things you may have wanted to know. More adds than articles, and no tech questions were being printed.
I always preferred Mopar Action, which I believe is back in print after being sold.
For Christmas I got 3 mopar action mags, from different people, all the same December issue. Lol.

I guess I’m an exception. I liked Mopar Muscle and especially looked forward to the sheet metal tech articles done at Muscle Car Restorations. CarCraft is not a loss at all.

I gave up on MM years ago. Every issue looked just like the one before, all hemi's and E body's, and the endless bigblock build contests. Not to mention the magazine kept getting thinner and thinner, and was mostly ads anyway.

You'll never see "THAT" I bet.
I wonder what the law is on that. I would think that unless they filed bankruptcy, they would be bound to reimburse. I know I will never see a penny, but how can a company just stop producing something, stay in business and not reimburse people who have paid for something.
Hey, I just thought of something. Since the magazines come in the mail, couldn't that be considered mail fraud?

I agree that there were some good things in MM, but I was getting a little tired of all the newer cars in the mag. Overall I still liked it. I also agree that the loss of Camaro Craft is no loss.

It's possible it's mail fraud. I don't know.

The Original "Chrysler Power Magazine" was a good mag. There is a new version of it but, but i don't cotton to it. its similar to Mopar Collectors Guide.

-- Yep ! -- Things have changed, since, and in some cases before, the passing of Roland. -- I've had a few cars featured in the, original, magazine. -- He was a Friend of Mine.

I think the last time I took any magazine was the mid 90s. I saw what they were turning into and Nipped that crap in the bud.
I buy them and take them over to my older brother to look at. He has a PC but he's one of those guys who thinks it will work better if you give it a few punches:elmer: so he's not to keen on searching for Mopar stuff online

I agree, that’s the main reason why it was my favourite magazine. The in depth metal repair was awesome. I pulled those pages all out and have them in a binder for referencing.

I agree with others though, the featured cars were usually ugly restomods. I’d end up reading only the original/day 2 style cars. If you had no interest in fixing cars yourself then the magazine would suck haha

Rusty, I can’t agree with you more there. Whitepunkonnitro (uncle tony) and Andy F (maybe not in the same words but from an engineer’s perspective) will tell you the same.

Well, I've met the guy in person. I'll "just stop" right there.

When I got the notice I called them and had my Hot Rod subscription extended by the same number of months that were left on Mopar Muscle and Car Craft. Now the mailing sticker says I'm paid up until 2031!!!

Most magazines have been a waste of time for me. The online "Hot Rod" sucks. The layout sucks, the way things are hidden suck. Impossible to save any information for later or even leisurely read through it

I have 3 more years on my subscription and this is how I find out? Guess that money is long gone now...

MoPar Muscle turned boring many years ago for me, they bugged me forever trying to get me to renew, so I told them one day I thought their mag was lame and they have felt me alone since....I used to get 4 at one time, High Performance MoPar, MoPar Muscle, MoPar Action and MoPar Collectors Guide. MoPar Action was pretty dang good but it’s been years since I seen one...is it even around yet? HPM is gone, now MM...MCG is hit or l miss...sometimes is great and other times it’s lame...they ran my friends burnt orange 70 Challenger a few months back and totally butchered the story from what my friend told them...main reason I renew is because they are at the MoPar show and you get a cool t-shirt...They have photographed many of my friends cars from the show in Minnesota and none of them have been in the magazine yet, one was even photographed six or seven years ago.
Mopar Action is still around, got a gift sub. for my dad he has only received 2 issues, but he will never go digital 83 yrs old not even interested.

I was in a similar situation, just renewed for 3 years and figured my money was gone. I called them, talked to a polite person and they refunded my money. It took about 5 weeks to receive a check. This was immediately after the announcement. Not sure there is any money left now but it might be worth giving them a call.

I emailed them yesterday and they came back and offered print or digital for MotorTrend, Hot Rod, or Four Wheeler. Went with a print edition of Hot Rod

i also had a subscription to Mopar Muscle and i have no idea how many months i lost when they went belly up. i immediately switched to Mopar Action and have found it a pretty good read. i like the classified ads in MA. some of the car prices are reasonable, some are from "you're dreaming buddy" land. i'm just glad there is still a PRINT mopar magazine of some kind. i have NO-ZERO use for "digital magazines." reading car mags. has always been a relaxing experience for me. i pick up the mag, sit down in a comfy chair and just slowly look page by page. it's also so much easier to read just holding the mag and turning that pages. no one talks about the health aspects of REAL "reading" versus looking at a computer screen. you can read books by natural light for hours and not get tired. i get tired after about 15 minutes of looking at a stupid computer screen. maybe the eyes of young kids these days who LOVE looking at their electronic "devices" are evolving into some kind of "Alien" eyes!
