Can use biscuit mounts on a 77 400 block or do you have to use spool mounts and obviously the spool k member? I have a 68 small block k member and the biscuit big block Schumacher kit but the mount boss on passenger side of the block is narrower, I have a 383 and boss is thicker and the mount fits normal. I am sure I could shim the mount but that may throw everything off?

Install the trans mount. That places the engine in the correct location front to back. Shim and locate the mount on the block to fit the k-member.

That's what I thought, I do have a big block spool mount k member but it is pitted pretty bad.
Just looking if somebody been through this issue.
Thanks!!

I have a ‘76 440 block, 68 slant six K member, newer trans mount and no shims. Fits nicely. Mounts are Schumacher conversion mounts. Longer bolts were needed between boss and bracket

I had to shim ( washers) between the one side of the mount to the block on my 440. I believe it was one washer . The metal mount is just a little narrow wher it bolts to the ears on the block. If you don't shim it, it can crack one of the ears on the block when you tighten the bolts. That would suck.

I have lots of factory mounts I can measure for u. Kim
Thanks for offering to measure but it sounds like it is just a matter of shimming. Thought I had a big issue but seems to be some what common. Will let everyone know how it turns out.
Thanks for replies!
