I'm looking for an AC / Radio bezel panel like the one in the photo. I would prefer the non-woodgrain one that comes in silver but will entertain anything as it looks like this is a hard to find part. I think this was only available in 70' on some of the AC cars. Please let me know if you can help me out.

Are you looking for one to send in and get redone, or are you hoping for something fabulous that's used?

I just need one in driver condition. Doesn't need to be perfect. The one I have now is shattered so anything is an upgrade.

I know I have a wood grain one, let me see if I have the standard silver. If I had a nice woodgrain AC bezel and a matching instrument bezel, would you be interested?

I would be. Post pictures of whatever you've got and let me know the price.

So I (miracle of miracles) found the (labelled!) box right off. I have a standard silver piece. I'll take pics in the morning. I would need to explain some things about this piece before you make a decision. To make that easier, can you tell me if you have taken your old bezel off yet? The face of this one is worn but completely undamaged, all the lettering is crisp, but the silver paint is scratched and worn. If you just want it to function you could just use it. If you want it to look nice, I'd repaint the silver.

I haven't taken the old one off yet. I actually just bought the car and haven't seen it in person yet. I'm not too worried about needing a repaint. As long as the plastic is overall solid.

Please do send those pictures. I'm definitely interested.

so here's the deal. The bezel is held to the metal dash by 2 screws through the face of the bezel and the nuts that go over the shafts of the radio, AND two metal studs that are in the back of the plastic bezel pointing toward the front of the car. If you know they are there the nuts on the back are a bastard to get to. If you don't know they are there you take the two screws and the two nuts off and then you pry at the bezel until the studs break off including the plastic posts they screw into. We will never know what prompted Ma Mopar to design this in this manner. One thing is certain - they put those $%%!@##!!! nuts on before the dash frame was installed in the car. There is a solution which I have used on both of my restored 70 darts with AC - screw the controls to the metal dash frame using the holes that the studs go through. The controls are now solidly mounted in place. Put the Bezel in place with the two screws and the two radio nuts. If you need the bezel off it's done in 5 minutes. If you need to take the controls out you can now get to the screws that hold it to the metal dash without any blood letting or cursing involved.

As you might have guessed the two plastic hollow posts on the piece that I have are broken off. I'll send pics and price to you by PM tomorrow.

So here are pics of the one I found,

He is right, those stud nuts bosses usually get broken as mine were. I have a modified version with a bigger hole for a better sound system
