Why not replace the fuse with an original/correct fusible link?
I thought of that too. But, if it consistently blows 40 amp blade fuses. I would think that it would blow a fusible link too ? I think what i’m going to try to do is. Try to mimic the wiring connections on this 73 Dart to my 69 Coronet. They are nearly identical. I’m hoping this will help me pinpoint a problem. A wire has to be incorrectly grounding or touching somewhere, but I can’t see any issues. I’d rather rip a motor completely apart and put it back together than hunting for **** like this. It has to be related to ignition. No problems with accessories, lighting, etc. until the key is returned to off position. It will crank all day, if I want it to. Blows when I turn key off.
