Break in oil is often thin and your switch to 10W40 will likely increase the oil pressure a little but not a lot . Trying a good mechanical gauge is a good idea to validate your pressure.
REALLY DON'T THINK THE CHANGE IN OIL will bring the pressure up that much , but it can't hurt . GOOD GAUGE is a great idea the factory and many aftermarket electric gauges are not reliable
