Do I have the right exhaust hangers on the car?

I do appreciate it. This helps clarify things for me. I will take the car to an exhaust shop in the morning. See if they can get stuff adjusted. I may also go buy the original hanger brakets just in case I have a change of heart with my current setup. The current hanger isn't enough to hold the exhaust in place. Its sliding in the rubber you see in my picture. Thats is allowing the muffler to hit the exhuast. The best bet maybe be to weld that bracket an inch and half to 2 inches to the left. The only other option I can see is bending the exhaust pipe right after collector which should change the geometry.
I think in your car's case, much of the problem is the entry end. That why I think it has to be cut and reattached.

I agree about that style of hanger slipping out. Don't like that. I was planning on changing the tailpipes and the hangers this winter. Didn't happen but it will. '67 cars are little more complicated. But with any prebent tailpipe, the muffler outlet positioned and angles must be very close to match up well.
