Pics or it didn't happen.

B/RB/Hemi as that link wont clear an LA. Whats up with the ball point pen springs? link control?

pishta, I have a set of those lifters that I guarantee came out of a small block 340, I took them out of a running engine.

I think that black bar is not a link bar but something to prop the lifters up off the table. I'm not going to be able to identify it, but I'd like to see a picture looking down into the pushrod seat area and a couple other angles.

gzig5 look up my post on these lifters & see post # 14 for pictures of the top of the lifter;
Solid lifter information wanted

I've been looking for information on the lifters for a few weeks now, This morning, I saw swede's post about the same one. I PM'd him & maybe between the 2 of us we can come up with the information we need.

Nope, the ones I have came out of a 70 340 in a 70 Challenger stock eliminator car.

Well...... of course, if it were a “Stock Eliminator” engine for a 70 Challenger....... it wouldn’t have roller lifters in it.
Not if it were legal anyway.

The friend I got them from bends the rules to suit himself. He's been fined & tossed out of more races than I can count. He goes back, builds another completely stock engine, runs it a few times & starts the same stuff again.

Yeah, those lifter are way too short to interfere with the LA casting rib. Strange spring arrangement, must be to keep that horizontal link bar in check. Good luck, Id consider pressing the axle out of the worn lifter and start hunting for a roller as they look smaller than common rollers of today.
