My LED AA Mag doesn't pin spot. Although it's much brighter than my old AA Mag, it's more of a flood beam no matter where it's adjusted.
BTW, they don't float when you're out yachting. But I'm sure you know that.:D
I bought a "clearance" ShyNeese Dorcy aluminum led that has a nice, although not adjustable spot beam that I really like. Takes six AAA batteries in plastic cage cartridge. Dropped it once while using, it hit the ground, killed it. Opened it up, had batteries falling all over, find the battery cage has broken into several pieces. I got it to work again with the help of a tube of super glue. Borrowed time.
