Anybody use Maglite flashlights?

I'm an old hand with Maglites. I still have a couple. Back in the day (late 70's) they were the only game in town if you wanted an upgraded flashlight. At that time I had quit college and started working in tow trucks. I needed something to really let me see at night so I got one that took seven C-cells. I kept it clipped in a pair of broom-handle holder clips just above the door opening.

Driving a tow truck means you will get calls from the apartment complex manager to tow away something that got parked in front of the dumpster, or in a tenant's spot, or whatever. That then means you have to deal with a pissed-off car owner who has to cough up a bunch of cash to get their car back, usually way late at night.

So one night I towed something away and a couple of hours later got the call from the owner wanting it back. To say he was irate would be a huge understatement. He was livid. Back then I was scrawny, 5"-4" and a whopping buck twenty-five. The car owner was more like 6-4 and 250. When I showed up at the storage yard (0300 or so, he was on a booty call to his ex) he thought he was going to drag me out the window of the truck and get his car for free. He tried, but I had the Maglite in hand and only had to make contact one time before he decided to re-think his approach to the situation.

Loved that Maglite and I still have it. It would light up the night or bail your *** out of trouble with aplomb.
