Although some (Dolby S) are superior in every way to the old stuff. The black plastic stuff (or Technics slate) doesnt do anything for me. I've had about 8 of them come and go but these 2 Sony's are my favorite. With my Hitachi SR-904 receiver. All this stuff is vintage 1978 stuff. I also have a pair of 1958 KLH Six speakers i restored. I love those silver faced receivers, nothing modern has the same power. I have mine connected to a CD/MP3 reader, see the USB Jack on the front. I dont use CDs anymore, not since middle school, I have never had tapes of any kind so everything is on USB drives now.
This CD unit is cool because it will transfer everything CD to USB in a couple minutes.
