who's upgraded their fuel line to 3/8? what did you do, who sells lines for an early a? i would like to stay away from aluminum lines.

I know you said you wanted to stay away from aluminum, but I went with the 1/2" Summitt aluminum fuel line. It was real easy to work with. To insulate it I took 1/2" rubber hose and covered it in that. It worked like a charm.

I went with stainless steel brake and fuel lines throughout my Dart. SS is a little hard to bend and it's best to have the flaring done by a shop. I had -6 steel ends welded to my hard lines and I'll connect using braided line from the fuel pump in and out. I'll also go braided from the hard line in the engine compartment. I got all my lines from FineLines.

Summit 3/8" aluminum lines. Worked out great. Just follow the old lines and reused the stock clips. I couldn't believe how easy sumething finally went. Not flares needed. I am using a mechanical pump. Cheap, easy, simple. Go for it. My is a '65 Barracuda

I will be using NAPA 3/8 steel line and the blue pump
unless I figure how to run an intank pump.
I think I payed about $24.00 for the 3/8" line.

I run a 3/8" sending unit with 3/8" stainless hard line all the way to the engine compartment then braided line to the regulator and carb, with a Holley black pump and filter mounted back by the tank..got the tank and fuel line from..gastanks.com

I too got my tank, 3/8" sender and 3/8" line kit from Gas Tanks .com. Everything fit like a glove. Wish I had some photos! toolmanmike

This company has some very nice fittings that require no mods to the steel line :

P.S. Longarm, you should paint that line with the Rustoleum rust reformer and top coat it to your liking (or leave it flat black) after you have it all bent the way you like it.

Summit aluminum line for me too, though I might use steel next time. There are coil straightening tools if you want to make it look good.

I got my 3/8 SS tubing from a place I use to work, it was free, and a couple hand fulls of Swagelock compression fittings, they were free to, and I do own my own benders and tube cutters. Actually now that I think about it they were free also.:toothy10::toothy10:

I ended up using part 1/2 aluminum line from Summit and the braided line. That one things that really don't pictures of. I need to get some.

Off topic but did your car come with the “DART” emblems on the front quarter panel or did you buy them? A previous owner removed them and Bondoed the holes for them. Would love to get them back on. Thanks!

Out of curiosity, why would you like to stay away from aluminum?
